Sticks and stones...

"Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me."

Yeah well who ever came up with that saying was obviously never a parent.
'Mommy I hate you....Mommy I don't love you anymore....' uttered in the middle of a preschooler's tantrum...

Words do hurt especially when spoken by a child that you love more than life itself.
