Great kid's music game...

Found this one on the TVOKids website...

It's called the 'Make Your Own Music Game'.

You pick the musicians, DJs or beat boxer and create your own piece of music.

My 3 year old [almost 4] son loves it...bonus is you can record the piece of music your child creates and email it to family and friends.

Here's one that he created this morning...

And here I thought that was what scarves were for....my bad.

My favourite though is this comment on YouTube: "[Those] stupid enough to buy these products should be charged with inhibiting the progress of humanity." jetsam50000

Fabulous!

Saw this in the Style section of Toronto Life.....

AndrĂ© Leon Talley, Vogue’s over-the-top editor-at-large (remember that tennis scene from The September Issue?), will be a full-time judge on America’s Next Top Model. This season—excuse us, cycle—is currently filming in Auckland, New Zealand. We thought Tyra was crazy when she debuted her Smyze superhero, but clearly the woman is a television genius. Talley and Miss J in a room together plus clueless models equals reality TV bliss. [Independent]

I cannot wait until Cycle 14!

Fabulous!

This video was created for the AARP U@50 video contest and placed second.

It is based on the Argentinian Political Advertisement "The Truth" by RECREAR.

I think it's the worth the 1minute 44sec it takes to watch it.

Gift Idea: The Mixed Tape

"Anyone who understands the obsessive attention to detail, the time it took to collate, select, and edit the content of a perfectly executed mix tape, or just someone who appreciated the rhythms and nuances of such extraordinary artifacts will treasure this collection of stories, comfortable and secure in the knowledge that such exquisite efforts were not made in vain and indeed there was a time when a humble cassette tape was perhaps the greatest gift of all."
- Shirley Manson, lead singer of Garbage

If you are looking for the perfect gift for that person on your list who can't get over the lost art of the 'mixed tape' then this is the book for you.

An art form combining the skills of a DJ with the intimacy of a letter, a good mixtape was the ultimate audio valentine.

Today, when the iPod and playlists reign supreme, the cassette has been rendered obsolete, and the art of crafting these sonic calling cards has been relegated to back-of-the-closet, thirty-something nostalgia.

Now, thanks to Cassette From My Ex: Stories and Soundtracks of Lost Loves by Jason Bitner , we can relive our lost youth and lost loves.

In Cassette from My Ex, 60 noted writers and musicians wax poetic about their own experiences with these charming artifacts and the relationships that inspired them. Contributors include: Maxim editor Joe Levy, author Rick Moody, former Rolling Stone writer and MTV2 veejay Jancee Dunn and The Magnetic Fields’ Claudia Gonson.

Stories range from the irreverently sweet, such as the doomed love affair between a Deadhead and a Goth, to the touching, such as the heartbreaking discovery of a former love passing away.
Everyone will find a story or a song to relate to. all you have to do is hit play.

Madonna: Poor Italian housewife...

From Italy Magazine in the UK....

Madonna is the face of Dolce & Gabbana’s Spring / Summer 2010 Collection and, in pictures released in this week’s Italian edition of Vanity Fair, she is washing dishes, preparing food and eating spaghetti with her hands. The photos, in black and white, were inspired by the 1951 Luchino Visconti film, Bellissima, starring Anna Magnani and were shot in New York City in November by Steven Klein.

Top 100 Music Hits...

I blame my friend Iain for this musical time waster...
I blame him for the certain neglect in household chores and perhaps my children [just kidding]...
Such a fabulous list from Billboard magazine...
The most popular songs of the decade (2000-09) across all genres...
The Best of 2000: The Top 100 Music Hits

And what better way to remember the decade that was, musically speaking? Well listening to all 100 songs of course...which you can do on the Billboard site.

Ahh the dusting and laundry can wait yet another day.

Quote of the day....

Albeit totally delusional but it's the quote of the day nonetheless....

"…There is no doubt that he has a bright and shining career ahead of him."
~statement by Jon Gosselin's lawyers Mark and Mike Heller

This statement of client support is to downplay the ongoing rumours that Jon Gosselin is close to going broke now that TLC has successfully blocked him from making any money from future media appearances due to his numerous contract breeches...

"The Hellers have no concern relevant to being paid by Jon for their services and see no circumstances under which they would ever sue Jon."
(MSN Wonderwall)

Right.

A Christmas Video

Not the 'Christmas video' you would expect but worth watching...

Al Sharpton Blasts Tiger Woods

Love when satire websites...in this case Celeb Jihad runs a fake story and some news agencies run with it like it's the truth.

All though in this case I forgive them and will issue them a pass...because truly it does sound like something Mr. Sharpton might say.

Al Sharpton Blasts Tiger Woods for Lack of Mistress Diversity

The Rev. Al Sharpton held a press conference today to blast Tiger Woods for the lack of diversity among his mistresses. Sharpton claims that the lack of African-American women among Woods’ harem will have a negative affect on the black community, specifically young black girls.

“Why is it that a man who calls himself black can’t bring himself to cheat on his wife with a black woman?” said Sharpton, speaking to a group of supporters in Harlem. “What does it say to young black girls everywhere when you pass them over? Shame on you, Tiger Woods. What would your daddy say?”

Sharpton, who has long championed taking black women as mistresses, said that today’s black athletes need to stop neglecting black women when it comes to extramarital affairs, and should follow the examples of positive black role models such as Jesse Jackson and Martin Luther King, Jr., both of whom cheated on their wives with black women. Sharpton also stressed that cheating with African-American women would help the black community financially by giving black girls the chance to sell their stories to tabloids and gossip magazines.

Added Sharpton, “I’m not asking you to not cheat on your wives, I’m just asking you to give back to your own community.”

Alice in Wonderland

This movie looks so good. Love Tim Burton. Love Johnny Depp. Brilliant.

Here is the newly-released, full-length trailer for Tim Burton's upcoming Alice in Wonderland.

Mustard sings Creep....

Proof that raw talent, passion and a soulful musical experience comes around when you least expect it...

Daniel Mustard sings an acoustic version of Creep on the Opie and Anthony Show on SiriusXM radio. When they brought Mustard on, they had no idea he could sing. It was intended to be a radio bit promoting their upcoming “homeless shopping spree.”

Dear Mrs. Woods

Dear Mrs. Woods;

Who knew Carrie Underwood's 'Before He Cheats' would have such a profound impact on you?

Although you did take slight creative licence on the line: 'I took a Louisville slugger to both head lights"...although given who your husband is, it really was the only option now wasn't it? A Louisville slugger wouldn't have had the same effect.

Hmmm I wonder if Carrie can rework the lyrics to include a golf club? A song sequel perhaps?
