Well at least he doesn't want to be a radio DJ....this is totally the lesser of two evils.

So much for my dreams of him becoming an in demand brain surgeon or a high powered lawyer.

There goes mommy and daddy's dreams of an early retirement on an island in the Caribbean.

Damn the powerful draw of a microphone.

Fisherwood.....

Now that the single women of Ottawa have had a few days to digest the news that one of the city's most eligible and hottest bachelors is no more...perhaps they are now willing to accept the union of Fisherwood...Ottawa Senator's Mike Fisher and country superstar, Carrie Underwood.

Over the last few days Hollywood blog sites have been dishing on the romance that reportedly started when they met backstage at Underwood's Ottawa concert last March.

And really ladies can we blame Carrie for falling for Mike...this guy was made for the saying: 'love at first sight'.

Its just bizarre seeing Fisher's name and face plastered all over gossip and entertainment sites...for a guy who leads a very private off the ice life, it will interesting to see how he deals with the barrage of romance questons instead of the usual hockey focus talk in interviews.

So far Mike seems unconcerned with the sudden interest in his lip locking, with his refusal to comment on the romance by saying, “I can’t comment on anything in my personal life, so that’s about all I can say. I don’t really want to say anything.”

Only time will tell if this turns out to be the real thing or not...but you can bet that there are at least one or two single women in Ottawa who will be hoping that this is a hook up of short term status.
