The 2010 edition of the Bucky Awards, CBC Radio 3's annual salute to the best Canadian music of the year, is here...
Just cause I like to add my 2 cents...here are my picks for the nominations categories....
Most Canadian Song: 'Hockey: The Greatest Game in the Land' - Hawksely Workman
Best Live Act: The Sadies
Best New Artist: Michou
Best Lyrics: Royal Wood 'On Top Of Your Love' ("Oh the fatigue of lust, When dizzying and hushed, In matters of the flesh, Incapable of rest")
Best Vocals: Justin Nozuka
Sexiest Artist: Vince Vaccaro
Best Reason to Learn French: Annie Blachard
Best New Band Name: Chromeo
Best Song: Chromeo 'Don't Turn The Lights On'
Best Video: Hollerado 'Americanarama'
Lifetime Achievement: Ron Sexsmith
Then tune on December 8th as CBC Radio 3 will honour the best in Canadian Independent music from the last year as chosen by the fans of Canadian music. As it should be.

Two words: Justin Rutledge. Just saw him live again last week. Songwriting, vocals, instrumentals, he's got it all.
Truth is there are so many to choose from...and Justin is indeed the whole package deal - and he's all about the eyes ;)
